About
The 'happy professionals', as they call themselves, of the company Otherside were looking for a new office that would fit their spirit.
A bright and future proof home. Through various workshops we designed a building that makes sure they regularly meet each other throughout the day and they lower their impact on the climate where possible. The building should enable them to work as a community. This design question was a perfect start for the project.
In the heart of the building a large atrium with a theater stairs connects all the floors. People interact in between floors and keep an eye on each other. A work café gives the opportunity for brainstorm sessions in an informal way and the solo work spots create some time for focus.
A flexible office, where every person can find its place.
The bamboo façade is an striking element on the outside of the building. The depth of the elements reduces the amount of sunlight that comes in. This meant we could reduce the amount of installations drastically.
The office is located on a highly visible location along the A2 highway.
The ground floor is slightly elevated in order to make a distinction between the parking area and the entrance to the office.
The ideas of V-ER landscape design are translated to a pleasant green garden full with flowers where the colleagues of Otherside often find each other for a welcome break.
